I appreciate your work here in summarizing Anglican theology of Holy Communion! I am in the process of moving from the Lutheran to the Anglican tradition, as I join my local Episcopal congregation. I appreciate that the Anglican tradition leaves so much more open to mystery within Holy Communion, while still insisting that Christ truly is present to us who partake of him in faith. Your summary here is very approachable for newbies like me. Thank you!

Thank you for your insightful commentary - I write this as someone who came from a somewhat similar background, and have been trying to grow in faith, but especially with regards to Christ's presence! This may not track very much with what you've written, but William Temple's sermon on Communion at the 1931 Oxford Mission seem to hit on very much the same parallels - that there's truth in the emphasis of Christ's Real Presence, as well as Christ's "Presence in the faithful receiver."
